Gold Souq #8

One of the things I have been most excited to do is go to the souq! Eric has told me how fun this is. It is also where he has purchased a lot of gold jewelry and watches "inspired by Rolex." One day we went into yet another mall. We weren't even going shopping this time. Eric's bank was next door and he needed to go there. He says it is really weird with the banks. You look up the hours and go during those hours and they still might be closed. That was the case that day and led us into this mall just to get out of the heat. As we walked around we see a sign leading into a section and it says Gold Souq. Eric said it is very similar to the other souq he has been to, but this one only has jewelry. The first store that we went in had a beautiful green set that immediately caught my eye. It will be our 35th wedding anniversary in June. It is traditionally called the coral anniversary, but the modern gift is jade. I was hoping these stones were jade, but they are actually uncut emeralds. Of course I love emeralds too and emerald is Eric's birthstone. We asked the price, but it seemed pretty high and we just kept looking. I found a bracelet that I also loved. It has yellow gold, white gold and rose gold. On one side it says ๐Ÿ’›I LOVE YOU ๐Ÿ’›.

Of course they are trying to sell us that. Eric started bargaining with the guy and got him down so far that we got the bracelet and the emerald set for way less than he first quoted the emerald set! Happy Anniversary to me!!! Bonus is that green is one of Cole and Macy's wedding colors, so I now have pretty jewelry to wear that day!
